About Winderdome Resort

Many guests have asked us, “how did you come up with this?”.  Well, when covid came, Deb lost almost all her work and David was retired.  We had already ordered the pool as we thought Deb’s upcoming work would cover most of the cost.  Think of National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation; Deb is Clark Griswald.  So with no money coming in to pay for our awesome pool, Deb spent a couple of weeks of pouting and consuming way too many peanut M&M’s and Doritos, and then convinced David we needed to turn lemons into lemonade and we got to work. 

We love our land and this valley and wanted to share it with others.  It was our dream to create a place and an experience where people could come to rest, relax, and maybe even celebrate life’s special moments.   It started with Deb’s badly drawn blueprints on graph paper and with the help of many great people, two years later, Winderdome was born – Est. 2022.   

Winderdome sits on 20 acres, 17 of which are dedicated to our glamping sites.  Our private home takes up the remaining three acres where you can rent our amazing pool.  

We think Clark Griswald would be proud of us.
